Harvey Quaytman

Border Crossing

Blue Back

Making a color lose it's name isn't a bad thing to do. Getting the colors of beer and wine in bottles, new beds or afternoon sky through frosted windows, using available pigment isn't possible, but the results of my wilful ignorance in trying anyway are useable. That's not the problem anyway. The problem is to keep the results alive by the choice of an adjacent color.
Alan Uglow

Crossing

An exacting control of severe geometries, a warm feeling of paint, a strange animation of composition.
